Vietnamese women through the lens of photographer Van Tho |
(CPV) - 100 photos featuring the beauty of Vietnamese women taken by photographer Van Tho will be on display at an exhibition to be held at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi on August 6.
The exhibition, co-organised by the Vietnam Photographers’ Association and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), is a part of the activities to celebrate Hanoi’s Great Anniversary as well as the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.
These 100 photos are selected from 200 photos created by the photographer Van Tho since 2008.
Through the exhibition, the photographer wants to highlight the traditional beauty of Vietnamese women, from Vietnamese senior women leaders to Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of the people’s armed forces, scientists, teachers, businesswomen, designers, actors and artists.
The 80 year old photographer is a former photojournalist from the Vietnam News Agency. He has devoted the entirety of his life to the arts and has successfully organised eight individual photography exhibitions and published four photo collections.
After the exhibition, he will present all the films and slides of the photos to the Vietnam News Agency for documentation.
